DEVELOPING A UNION'S COMMUNICATION STRATEGY
Designed and carried out a qualitative analysis of the communication at a national union, interviewing key stakeholders and staff, designing and commissioning a quantitative member survey, designed workshops for decisionmakers, and delivered a draft strategy with recommendations. In a follow-up assignment, guided the implementation.
BOOSTING A UNIVERSITY'S DIGITAL LITERACY
Designed a week-long crash-course for lecturers and other senior staff members at a university, developing their digital competence. Built lectures, sub-contracted specialists and delivered the course on-site in South-East Asia.

With solid experience from the media industry & board assignments such as the World Editors Forum, Tinius Trust, Fojo International and Sveriges Radio (Sweden's public service radio), Anette Novak is an appreciated senior advisor and sparring partner for major media outlets and start-ups alike. Assignments range from supporting Nordic media houses digital transitions, mentoring CEO's and middle-managers, designing courses and work-shops for media executives, strengthening media freedom, freedom of expression and supporting the development of major media outlets in South-East Asia, Mena, and East African regions.

With keynotes at major conferences around the world - such as WAN-IFRA world congresses and Newsroom Summits in Europe, Asia and the US - and hundereds of lectures and moderator assignments, Anette Novak is appreciated on stage for mixing cutting-edge insights and entertaining storytelling on topics such as media and information literacy, digital transformation, innovation management and AI adoption, online harms, media policy and democracy.
Some recent appearances include moderating a panel with the 2024 Nobel Prize Laureate in Physics Geoffrey Hinton at the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences or giving a keynote at the EIT Culture & Creativity Moonshot event in Brussels.
